2007/2008 WOGHL League Playoffs & All-Star Info.

This Website contains information concerning the 2007/2008 WOGHL League playoffs. For information on Regional Playdowns please contact your OWHA Regional Director.

To minimize confusion the WOGHL League Playoffs will be following as closely as possible the rules set out by the OWHA for Regional Playdowns. There are however differences and teams should take care to check with the League Executive and or Division Convenor to clarify any rule or regulation that may be unclear on. A copy of WOGHL rules and regulations can be found on the main WOGHL website under rules and regulations.

The following guidlines are to be followed by all teams in the WOGHL who wish to participate in League Playoffs.

Game Sheets

Game sheets must be filled in properly and entirely including team numbers. Game sheets recieved without team numbers, Referee signatures, time keepers signature(s) game numbers etc. will be deemed as incomplete and be subject to league fines set out in the Rules and Regulations of the WOGHL.

Curfews

There are NO curfews in WOGHL Playoff games. All League Rep's please clarify this with your center. Curfews will result in a forfeit by the home team.

Game Lengths

Novice: Minimum 10/10/10/

Atom: Minimum 10/10/12

Pee Wee: Minimum 10/12/12

Bantam: Minimum 10/15/15

Midget: Minimum 15/15/15

These game lengths are for every category and division within the WOGHL. If there any questions concerning game length please contact the League Executive.

Suspensions and Major Penalties

All Major penalties and Suspensions must be reported to the Playoff Division Convenor, League President, and Regional Director.

Game sheets showing suspensions must be Faxed to the League President and Regional Director within 48 hours of the game being played.

A player recieving a suspension in a League Playoff game may serve that suspension during a Regional Playdown game and or Tournament game. Similarly a player recieving a suspension during a Regional Playdown game may serve that suspension in a League Playoff game or Tournament game.

Copies of game sheets showing served suspensions must also be faxed to the Regional Director and WOGHL League President within 48 hours of the game being played.

Playoff Division Convenors

Playoff division convenors are an extension of the League Executive for the duration of the playoffs. As such, they are entitled to the same respect shown any other member of the Executive. Playoff convenors report directly to the President/Director(s). Teams are expected to send game information in to the Convenor under the guidlines he/she gives them. Any harrasement of Playoff Convenors will be dealt with harshly by the Privacy Officer and by the League Executive.

All-Star Games

This years All-Star Games will held in St. Marys on April 5th, 2008. These games are about fun as well as being able to participate in hockey with members of other centres as teammates. We encourage all centres to participate from Novice to Midget, Competitive and Local League. We also encourage each Centre to bring their Home Team to cheer on their players who represent your hometown.

All teams are now posted. Please send player info to Geoff Goldsack at gold-sack@hotmail.com as soon as possible (include Team, Division, Players Name, Position & Players alternate # if preferred). Home jerseys will be White with navy lettering & Away jerseys will be Navy with white lettering. Jerseys will have our All-Star Logo on the front with a number & players name on the back. Each jersey will cost $20 to be paid upon pick-up at the All-Star game in St. Marys on April 5th. Game times are posted below. Be sure your players arrive 1 Hour before game time Please.

Players are now being added to the teams. Please check to see if your team has been updated. If not, please send info in soon so the jerseys can be ordered.
